Here's one of my favorite memories: My husband and I had gone to a bookstore while waiting for a table to become available on Mother's Day at a breakfast/brunch/lunch restaurant. On the back cover of Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart I read, "Call this honey-dipped memoir the distaff side of the Greatest Generation..... Neither sentimental nor saccharine, this book offers insights into the women who lived through World War II. It's a perfect Mother's Day gift." --USA Today." On Mother's Day I bought it for myself for a Mother's Day present and spent several pleasant May afternoons reading it under a wisteria arbor in a nearby park. It is among my favorite memoirs, and Marjorie Hart wrote me a personal response after I sent my answer to the question at the end of her book, "Do you remember the best summer of your life?" at SummerAtTiffany@harpercollins.com/.
