I provide “Author Training.”
As the author of The Author Training Manual, I provide my clients with a proprietary Author Training process. I take you through nine sessions, or steps, to help you achieve successful authorship—whatever that means to you—and to produce a marketablebook. This is a complete and comprehensive curriculum with homework (handouts) and education as well as coaching.
To complete the full training requires three months of author coaching sessions. In some cases, we can accomplish all that you need in two months (but not all nine sessions). However, a three-month investment in your book and yourself ensures you get the most out of the program.
I Provide Customized Author Coaching.
If you aren’t interested in Author Training, you can hire me on a month-t0-month basis and get support on your book’s particular issues. Typically, I find these issues fall under the umbrella of the nine author training steps included in my Author Training curriculum. With this option, however, you will not receive Author Training.
Author coaching can help you achieve any number of desired—and inspired—results. Because this program is catered to your needs and desires, you determine what you create in our time together.
When your coaching is complete you might end up with:
- a draft book proposal
- a business plan for your book
- a query letter
- a mind map of your book
- a writing plan for your book
- ideas for a series of spin-off books or a series of books
- a strategy for how to build a business around your book
- a blog plan
- insight into your best publication path
- new-found confidence and courage to realize your dream of becoming an author
- knowledge of what social media will be your most effective tools
During sessions I can:
- Show you how to use your social media effectively and in a time-efficient manner
- Develop a step-by-step plan to build a platform
- Create a media kit
- Help you develop a blog plan to support your book or build platform
- Decide how to reach your market with a promotion plan
- Guide you in creating a business plan or proposal for your book (editing not included)
- Evaluate your book idea for marketability
- Mind map your book and its content
- Brainstorm book ideas
- Develop ideas for how to build a business around your book
- Hone your pitch
- Take the next step…and the next
- Keep you focused
- Provide accountability with a schedule or goals
- Assist you in removing the blocks that keep you from realizing your dream of becoming an author

I’m Nina Amir, author of the bestselling How to Blog a Book and the forthcoming The Author Training Manual, both published by Writer’s Digest Books. I’ve been blogging since 2006. (I have 4 blogs…yes, 4. I used to have 5. ) Since 2010 authored two traditionally published books, and I’ve self-published 12 books in the last eight years or so. Plus, I regularly churn out articles for magazines (I’ve written for over 50 different international and national publications) and guest posts for other bloggers, sites and clients. Not only that, I’ve helped other authors complete their books and publish them successfully. One of my clients self-published and then sold their book to Simon & Schuster (Enlightened Leadership). It was printed verbatim and has gone on to sell over 230,000 copies. Another of my clients won a Writer’s Digest award for best self-published inspirational book (Radical Forgiveness). He turned down a traditional publishing deal and sold over 100,000 copies as an indie publisher before selling to Sounds True. I’m also a speaker, a coach, a teacher, a parent. I spend the majority of my time in my office doing what I love: writing, blogging, building platform, promoting, producing books, and helping other bloggers and writers do the same.
