spiritual development

What does spiritual development have to do with blogging? A lot. The more you learn about the world and yourself—the more connected you are to everything that you see, experience, and learn—the better your blogging ability becomes. Today, Kyle Bell (@kbeezy902) offers advice on how to use spiritual development to increase your productivity, creativity, and ability to sustain your blogging activities.

The art of blogging can prove a monotonous process. To sustain your efforts requires more than just passion, ambition, discipline, and purpose. Yet, writing and publishing a blog is a creative process, and, like all writing, offers the opportunity for self discovery plenty of learning.

How do you learn faster and develop a stronger blogging mindset? How does a blogging habit become instantiated within the very fiber of your being? How do you learn more about yourself so you can become a better blogger and writer?

The answer is complex but boils down to one factor: spiritual development.

You can find numerous spiritual development methods. That’s why it’s essential to identify the best practices for spiritual development as well as those that will help you write. The following four methods will aid your spiritual development—and blogging—in exceptional ways.

Read Voraciously

When your spirit seeks enlightenment, open the door. Or open a book; each one, no matter the topic, provides a doorway of learning.

Reading books that have a significant impact on your life provides the fastest way to learn. Books offer the tools and resources for stronger, more rapid blogging. Focus primarily on reading books daily about skills you’d like to improve, whether it be editing or how to craft a story. Concentrate on topics tailored to your current needs.

Whether you’re reading books on perfecting your craft, self-help, business, or personal development—they all share one common attribute: the ability to enhance your perspective and change the way you view the world. And this is crucial to telling more captivating stories and creating unique posts.

Books provide a breath of fresh air in a world where turmoil and strife can strike unexpectedly. They allow you to enter a world that was once unknown to you.

When your spirit seeks enlightenment, open the door.

Pray or Practice Meditation

The daily ritual of praying to a higher power or following a meditation routine works wonders to shut off your brain from the world. Like any part of your body, the brain needs to be recalibrated to work at its maximum potential. Prayer and meditation periods are times to learn more about yourself—and the more you know about yourself, the easier it becomes to write something of substance and merit.

Thoughts become things; as you meditate, see yourself sitting down for hours to blog. Prayer or meditation increases your focus; it teaches you to utilize your time wisely when attacking the blank page. These practices can provide crystal clear visions that result in an empowered sense of direction for your blogging.

Writer’s block disappears if you consistently focus you mind on affirmations about what you want to create as you write and with your blog. The repetitive process of kneeling, sitting, or lying down in complete silence, along with the power of visualization and persistent positive thoughts or requests turns the thoughts into reality—the action of putting words on the page (or on your blog) day after day.

Decide what you want as a blogger. Then meditate and focus upon that goal. As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously stated: “Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.”

Express Gratitude

The little things in life are the beginning of greater things to come. Thankfulness for these instances and circumstances can clear your mind for a productive writing session. The creative process involved in blogging isn’t easy, but gratitude can make it easier.

Have immense gratitude for your ability to write one single word; this will result in the multiplication of words.

Be thankful for the times of struggle and turmoil as you grapple with the blank page; they’re blessings in disguise, waiting to be transformed into captivating prose. A positive disposition produces motivation and a relentless mindset.

Draw Inspiration from Other Forms of Art

When days churning out words feels like a chore, seek inspiration from other forms of art, like music, paintings, design, and, most importantly, Mother Nature. She has a pure artistry that’s alive and well, which you can breathe into your own words. Develop a keen eye for specific details with all of these art forms, and you can apply what you see and learn to your writing.

When you feel like you’re stuck staring at the blank page, overwhelmed by its bareness, get up. Experience the creative world first hand.

Spiritual Development Leads to Better Blogging

Spiritual development consists of constant self-discovery, which is how you mold your blogging. Every aspiring author or writer strives to improve productivity on a daily basis. The evolution of the human spirit increases productivity, drastically.

Ultimately, the more you understand about yourself, the more you know about the world around you. And that education expands the scope of your prose.

Neglect your spiritual development, and impede for your creative writing—and blogging.

What do you plan on implementing into your daily routine to facilitate spiritual growth? How will you put time aside for your new spiritual practice?
